How to improve battery usage time on AMD processor powered notebooks

amd logo

Disclaimer: This guide is intended for and only to AMD processor powered notebooks running windows xp and windows 2003 on both 32bit and 64bit arch.

If you are a notebook user, most of the time you will be running on battery mode and it’s kinda pesky to just run out of battery in the middle of your work or meeting. I know that there are lots of guide out there already but this one is very specific to AMD processor powered notebooks especially Turion 64 X2s.

So here we go. Download the AMD processor driver here.

Decompress the file and install.

The AMD processor driver allows your notebook to automatically adjust the processor speed, voltage and power combination and match it according to user performance need, meaning, if you’re only running a browser it will calculate and automatically adjust both processor speed and voltage, and that will help you save some battery juice.
