Reset TCP/IP Stack in Windows XP and Windows 2003

TCP/IP is one of the core components in Windows XP and Windows 2003, having this component corrupted by a malware will get you disconnected in the network or the internet. In any case you are having problems with TCP/IP components, Windows XP or Windows 2003 has an option for you to reset it using NetShell utility shortly known as the netsh.

reset tcp/ip stack

Here’s how to do it.

1. Open a command prompt window then type in netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt.

2. When resetting is done, restart your computer.

That’s all about it, you have successfully reseted your TCP/IP stack.
