How to install WHM/Cpanel on Linux

WHM (Web Host Manager)/Cpanel is the leading commercial control panel for web hosting and management and is widely used by both small and enterprise levels hosting companies.
If you are planning to deploy WHM/Cpanel, this guide will walk you through on how to install WHM/Cpanel on your linux server. The installation is just a piece of cake as long as you have bought already the required license.
Assuming you have already a WHM/Cpanel license then let’s proceed to the installation.
1. Login to your linux server and download the WHM/Cpanel installer.
wget -c http://layer1.cpanel.net/latest
2. After downloading the installer, run the installer by issuing the command below.
sudo sh latest
3. The installer will then start downloading and install the files required to run the cpanel software, this will take a few minutes or more so be patient.
4. When the installation is done, open your browser and go to http://your-ip-address-here:2086 and login as root and complete the setup by supplying the required server details.
5. When your done with the initial setup, you can then start to create accounts, tweak services and software settings or create a package or migrate existing sites.
Please note that if you want to install Fantastico deluxe plugin then you need to buy a separate license for it, that is on top of your WHM/Cpanel license.
