Encore ENUWI-G2 Wireless LAN USB Adapter Problem

I bought recently an Encore ENUWI-G2 wireless USB adapter just to find out that its nothing but a problematic device. When connected as a client, this adapter keep disconnecting from my access point though i only used WEP as the encryption algorithm. I have two laptops connected on the same wireless router and both were using an atheros wireless mini-pci card and another desktop with a Loopcom LP-8187 wireless USB adapter connected to it which is working fine too. However, the Encore ENUWI-G2 works just fine without an encryption set on the router.
I also found out that when running it in AP mode with an encryption set, the Encore ENUWI-G2 wireless USB adapter is unable to assign an IP address to the connecting client. It however worked without any encryption set. I bought it for $12 bucks, it was supposed to be a good buy, nonetheless, i was wrong.
Anyway, i am still using the Encore ENUWI-G2 wireless USB adapter as an access point, without any encryption set. so, find me and have a free ride but beware, i will be watching you.

btw, ENUWI-G2 heats up too much compared to other brands with the same chipset and of same price range.
