Recently i bought Acer Aspire 5738Z-442G32Mn its comes with basic Linux Operating System, I tried to install Windows XP Professional SP2 , After Installation Wireless and Bluetooth Device is not working, But In the system panel they mentioned “Acer Nplify™ 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR”
how can i enable those device? please anybody help me ..

I bought acer Aspire 5532.In the manual it indicated it has a webcam but it doesn’t.why is it so.it has something like a webcam but has no lens in it.

not working for my Acer Aspire 5332 on xp sp2 pro! I need xp, cose i’m working with some programs. i don’t need vista or seven!!! i’m disappointed about acer! why i spent so many $$ for this crap! This model complicates my life….. i thought that after buying it, will make my life easy…but nooo :|….. i wanna change it for a dell 1525/1720…or other model.

bad news - acer doesn’t officially provides full pack (or any pack) of drivers for xp.

good news - acer uses devices of third parties. those third parties have drivers for their products for ANY operating system, including xp.

guys, if you need to install drivers that are no official supplied on acer’s web page. then you have to install it manually.

as soon as you install your operating system (in our case it’s xp). you’ll need to install all relevant drivers for your devices. in order to find proper drivers you have to do following:

1. on your desktop you’ll find “My Computer” icon.
2. right click on it.
3. in menu that arises you’ll need to click on “Device Manager”

New window appears. The devices that need to install drivers will light up with yellow questions. (you’ll find it easily)

right click on device, in new menu click on Properties.

There appears new window with info about device with several tabs. You’ll need tab with device specification (this tab may be named as Details, or anything like this)

in this tab you’ll see following kind of information

PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002E&SUBSYS660311AD&REV….

starting from beginning of the row till SUBSYS - is unique id of your device. it means that only your device has such id.

using that id you go to google. type your device’s id + driver.
usually it brings you to webpage with installation files of drivers suitable for your device.

yes, it’s long way.
but it works.
you’ll spend several minutes or hours. (depending of number of devices)

after that you may enjoy.)))

i recently installed Windows XP professional on an Acer Aspire 5250-0450. i was able to get all the drivers for it except the wireless. i downloaded all the ones listed on here for xp, but no luck. any help? thanks.

I do have the same problem. Netbook no longer has WLAN adapters and drivers. Hope we can find something.
