Linksys WRT160N router and Intel 4965AGN WLAN card N speed Fix

This guide will help you solved the connection speed issues when operating both the Linksys WRT160N Ver.1.01.21 router and Intel 4965AGN WLAN card on N mode.
This guide assumes that you have the latest and updated firmware installed in your WRT160N router and driver of Intel 4965AGN WLAN card installed in your computer.
For Intel 4965AGN, make sure to follow the instructions on this url
Before proceeding, make sure that there’s no any interference present on the channel which you are operating, if there is then change active channel first.
Linksys WRT160N
1. Login to your router’s setup page and click on Wireless, under Basic Wireless Settings, select Manual as the configuration mode.
2. On manual configuration mode page, look for Radio Band and set to Wide - 40Mhz Channel and Save settings.

3. Now go to Advanced Wireless Settings and disable frame burst then change Basic Rate to All and Save settings.
4. Go to Wireless Security tab and select WPA2 Personal and choose AES as the encryption type and Save settings.

5. Restart the Linksys WRT160n router.
Intel 4965AGN WLAN Card
1. On your computer, Open the device manager and look for the network adapters, right click on Intel wireless wi-fi link 4965agn and click properties.
2. On properties window, click on Advanced tab and set the following and apply.
- 802.11n Channel Width = Auto
- 802.11n Mode = Enabled
- Throughput Enhancement = Enabled
3. On your wireless networks, remove the old wireless setting configuration.
4. Restart your computer and connect to your Linksys WRT160N router using the wireless zero configuration utility.
